Candas Bas is a choreographer and performance artist who is deeply involved in music as a dj and singer. She has been working in every possible position in the performance art field, from production management to designing stage.

 She is board member of the Actors Union Turkey and is very enthousiastic about sociology and politics in art. She likes team works and has been a co founder of some art collectives based in Istanbul.

 As a co founder-member of Ciplak Ayaklar Kumpanyasi, she danced in pieces like "L'invitation"- Charles Cre-Ange, "Mehmet loves piece"- Mihran Tomasyan , "In The City"- Charles Cre-ange, "Why İncu Cima" -Mihran Tomasyan, "Kalon Kakon"- Diane Elshout- Frank Handeler , "Kelimeler-Words" and “Faili Mechul" 

 She danced with Flemish Opera and Hush Hush Hush dance company in Belgium. And worked in different projects in Germany, Belgium, Franceand Turkey with choreographers like Abdel Sarrokh, Philippe Talard, Zeynep Tanbay, Mustafa Kaplan, Lorena Rondi, Michael Keagan Dolan, Tayeb Benamara, Charles Cre Ange, Diane Elshout, Frank Handeler, Jordi Galli. She also took part in William Forsythe's ''Human Writes" performance in Istanbul.

  She has worked for theater as a movement director and choreographer for musicals like"Rent", "Hair", "Avenue Q"  and pieces as "The Tempest”, “War” ,”Lear”, “A midsummer Night’s dream”, ”A Trial in Istanbul”, “Constellations”, “ Cagrilmayan Yakup” , “The Rebellion Day of The Dogs” a co-production ofSao Luiz Teatro Municipal and Istanbul Theater Festival, “12’th Night” at the Istanbul Municipality Theater and “Les Cocons” which premiered at Avignon Off.  

  She gave classes like contemporary technique, jazz, ballet and yoga in many schools including Bilgi University and Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University's Modern Dance Department.

  She worked as a master trainer for Nike International for the dance events. She also choreographed Eurovison Song Contest's winner Sertab Erener's stage show and Can Bonomo’s Eurovision appearance .She choreographed for many Turkish singers stage performances and videos such as Sertab Erener, Hande Yener, Sibel Tuzun, Hadise, Yalin, Atiye, Can Bonomo etc. 

  She choreographed for 6 short dance films of Cynthia Madensky. She acted in 3 short movies and“Moral Bozuklugu ve 31”

  Candas also prepared fashion shows or promotional events for many companies: Nike, Puma, Davidoff, Absolute, Gap, Garanti Bank, Apple etc..

  Her choreographies were performed in Les Floraisons du Botanique, CCBE (Cultuur Centrum Berchem), IX. Festival Internacional de Danca Contemporanea Portugal, Sofia Dance Week,14. 15. and 16.Istanbul Theatre Festival, IDANS, Diyalog Festival Berlin, Culturscapes Switzerland, Dansem, Question de danse France, New Sounds of Istanbul DE. Some of her work are; Delirium-solo, Mirror, Time Becomes a Loop, Hep Ayni Sey, Sadece-solo,  X-inti, Broken-solo and Engin-ar -collaboration with the Collectif C danser, France.

  She’s a OM Yoga Certified ERYT 500 yoga teacher 

  She is also involved in music has 2 records out from Emotional UK, produced by Baris K, that she did the vocals and she enjoys djing in many clubs and festivals in Istanbul, Berlin, Zurich.
